So myself and my fiance were walking around a mall in San Francisco, we’re here on vacation and I saw a bookstore. Had to go in and check out the Sci-Fi section like I always do and look what I stumbled on a full week early!

I thought there was a mistake but I wasn’t going to miss the opportunity and grabbed myself a copy

I’ve read that Orbit says this is actually quite common and world-wide (and online) release is on the 25th as well as the date Brent Weeks starts his tour. Going to be up late tonight reading this one!

He also had a contest last to help choose the last stop on his book tour since most of the stops are on the West Coast and it looks like Orlando came out in the lead. Now we just have to wait and see if he can get a bookstore there to let him visit. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

Yesterday Brent released a video interview that answered a bunch of fan questions. The video is 12 minutes long! Please be aware that it does contain Night Angel Trilogy spoilers if you haven’t finished that series yet (WHY HAVENT YOU?!).

Well it looks like we jumped the gun a little bit by creating the theme of this site around the cover found on Amazon. A couple days ago Orbit announced the Official cover!

I think this new cover gives the book a much darker feel which hopefully will reflect the tone of The Black Prism. We will be updating the rest of the site and our twitter background in the next couple days to reflect the new look!

Brent Weeks announced on his Twitter account today that he has completed the First Draft of The Black Prism! We’ve all been watching his “Scene’s Left” countdown and I’m sure we are all excited to see that he made his end-of-year deadline.
